E For Explosion and Vampires!

I am VERY excited to talk about the BEST book i have ever read. The other night in Salt Lake City i was told by a few familiar faces that E For Explosion reminds them of this series of books i keep hearing about,Called Twilight! So the next thing i knew the 2 awesome girls gave me the first book!! I have never been one for reading but i was so intrigued by the way they described it, so i gave it a chance. The next morning on the car ride to Los Angeles. I was trapped in the story it was the most romantic thing i have ever read. I LOVED IT!! The next day or so after that i would rather sit in the car than go walk around the mall. Weird right? We ride around in the car all day and i would rather sit and read. I just finished the book yesterday, so i decided to listen to the E For Explosion album to really see if it goes that well with the book. Well they weren't kidding, pretty much the whole thing from start to finish goes so very perfect with the first book. If you get a chance you should definitely check it out! I am going to buy the next book tomorrow called Eclipse!

I never thought about putting the album and the book together... interesting, apparently does go well with the book

haha i never thought i would get so sucked into the story i can't even imagine what's to come. Have you read all of them?

i didn't think i was going to either, just wanted to read something about vampires and ended reading the first two books in one weekend and could not wait for the next one. yes, i started reading the series since '06
i don't know what it is that keeps me want to read more, besides the vampire part..

so how far are you?

i think i'm one of the few people who can't get into the whole twilight craze. a couple of my friends have read it though.. and said the same thing.. that it sucked them it. i'm a sucker for 80s vampire movies.. lost boys, monster squad, fright night.. once bitten films like that. so i guess it's hard for me to adjust to vampires dazzling in the sunlight instead of blowing up and sucking blood out of forrest animals instead of people, i guess i prefer the more morbid version.

i get what you're saying, this book is intended for the female teen audience so it can't be that morbid
side note: i think the movie is going to suck

oh i know, i also think the author is mormon? so i believe that has a huge thing to do with the way she writes as well. it's just not for me really.. i never got into any of those series though, like harry potter, lord of the rings.. etc. i haven't actually even seen a trailer for the film yet but i figured as much with the subject it was imitating

yeah i definitely love all the 80's vampire stuff . . . . but i dunno the books are so romantic and dreamy. But i agree that the movie is going to totally SUCK!

well... i know a bunch of people like the books, so it's not surprising that you do. but personally i'm not really into romantic or dreamy in literature.. i prefer sarcasm and cynicism like sedaris, burroughs and palahniuk.

I remember reading a chapter from a book by Palahniuk in 102, and I remember being good, can't remember what I read though.

We are so glad that you love the book! We knew you would!!! And the E For Explosion CD is the soundtrack to twilight! It's amazing!!! I mean come on, "I'm living to die & you're dying to live...what will it take for you to understand, this is something the doctors just can't fix..."

I love these books, I've just finished reading them all the for the third time =) You're lucky, they're all out now but when I started they were only half done.

I never thought to listen to the album with the books, and now I'm going to have to!
